Spring into gardening now with the fair weather crops. Lettuce, peas, carrots, beets, kale and Broccoli are ready to plant.
Have you turned over your gardening plot? If not what are you waiting for.
Need compost to enrich the soil? Here is the cheap part, use the leaves that are left over from last fall just run over them with the lawn mower and turn them into the soil. Use your kitchen scraps after chopping them up or purify them in an old blender that you can pick up at a yard sale. That's right chop the left over food in the blender then mix it into the soil, no need for buying compost at the store (stay cheap). Don't use meat or greasy foods!
Okay now we need the seeds. Cheap seeds grow as well as expensive seeds. Dollar stores have packets for 10 to 25 cents or wait for them to go on sale to get brand name seeds.
The type of seed depends on your garden size or what you want to eat! Plant what you want to eat, that's the key to doing some work.
So, go the week to pick out your seeds and get the soil set.
I will go over spacing and set up of your garden space soon.
It will cost you very little to eat big, and you will have fresh healthy food for CHEAP!
Ask your questions on soil prep and seed choices and I will help you get started.
